Edgar A. Benes

Founding Attorney & President

Edgar A. Benes was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. He is fluent in Spanish and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. Edgar was also a member of the 1987 University of Miami National Championship Football Team. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992 and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year.

From 1992-1994, Edgar A. Benes worked with a Solo Practitioner in Boca Raton emphasizing on real estate transactions and commercial litigation. From 1994-1998, he worked for the Boca Raton office of Broad and Cassel where he focused on residential and commercial real estate and lending transactions. Thereafter, Edgar A. Benes worked at the law firm of Mombach Boyle & Hardin in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and presently, Edgar A. Benes operates and manages his Boca Raton-based law firm specializing in residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Isabelle A. Ager was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984. Isabelle joined the firm of Edgar A. Benes, PA in 2009.

Brett Benes

Attorney

Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, Brett Benes is an attorney who is committed to his clients’ needs and who focuses on real estate based transactions. Brett’s focal points range from SBA 7(a) loan, conventional loan, and construction loan closings, buyer and seller representation on purchases and sales of residential and commercial real estate, title insurance, and real estate contract negotiation.

Brett was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, and graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. He then went on to attend the University of Charleston (WV) where he was a four-year letterwinner and two-time All-American as a place kicker and punter for the Golden Eagles. He graduated with a double major in Business Administration and Political Science. After his undergraduate years, Brett enrolled at and graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in April of 2021. Brett currently resides with his wife Rachel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and enjoys fishing, golfing, boating, and attending South Florida sporting events.

Jason Throne

For nearly two decades, Attorney Jason Throne has provided counsel, title and closing services to the local real estate and banking community and has developed a unique and diverse background of experience for the benefit of the firm’s valued clients. Mr. Throne negotiates real estate contracts intent on protecting his clients’ interests while keeping perspective of the greater goal: bringing every prospective real estate transaction to a successful close. Every client deserves an efficient closing process, including the right to be fully informed, educated and protected throughout the transaction. These beliefs have long built the foundation of Mr. Throne’s real estate, title and loan transaction practice. Born and raised in South Florida, Mr. Throne moved to Boca Raton in 1983 where he now resides with his wife and two young children. Mr. Throne graduated from The Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law where he competed nationally on the Trial Team and served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Alachua County State Attorney’s Office. In 1999, he was admitted to the Florida Bar. Mr. Throne previously served as President of the 2012 Leadership Boca Class for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and has dedicated his time coaching for West Boca Basketball and Boca Jets Lacrosse. Mr. Throne is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Connecticut.
